
It is entirely possible to be losing fat but not weight as quickly as you expected.
Why? Because body weight is just one number. It does not tell you how much of that weight comes from fat versus lean mass. BMI tools also have limitations and do not directly distinguish muscle from fat. (nhs.uk)
That is why progress may show up in other ways first:
The scale can be part of the story.
It just is not the whole plot.
