Story Series: From Emotional Eating to Total Transformation

Andrea Hammond never thought she’d be one to share photos of herself in her underwear and post them on the internet. But, once she experienced the results and transformation of the FASTer Way to Fat Loss program, she couldn’t hold back from sharing with the world.

Andrea wasn’t obese, and wasn’t necessarily chasing a number on the scale, or looking to lose a certain number of pounds. But, after the death of her beloved dog, she did recognize that she had lost track of her goals and was emotionally eating.Then, it was the holidays and she had gone all out. 

After Christmas, Andrea knew it was time to reign it in. She got into the FASTer Way program and buckled down with easy convenient meal plans and daily workouts that were new every day. Now she says, “I have far better equipped myself to find other ways to handle stress than to run for a sweet treat from the pantry or fridge. I know that exercise is one of the most underutilized anti-anxiety approaches out there and that food is one of the most abused.”

That got put to the test not long after when Andrea was in a car accident and went home fully thinking she’d binge all the things to feel better. But she remembered how far she’d come and that eating everything in sight wouldn’t solve the problem, and she’d just feel bad about it later. 

Andrea says, “Today I fuel myself properly because I love who I am and I know I deserve it. I still enjoy the occasional treat or have an indulgent meal but I quickly get back on track afterwards. I strength train and exercise because I love how my body and mind feel during and after.”

Next stop - her 40th birthday! She’s set a goal and looks forward to seeing the progress when she shows up at her party looking better than ever. 

Her final piece of advice, “YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS! And guess what?! The hard things become easy once you give them enough time to become habits.”
